| This purchase went like clockwork. Very fast and with no problems. This is an upgrade (for Snow Leopard) to an existing copy, so I knew exactly what to expect from the software. |
| Great as usual but SmoothCam has a bug | 2010-02-03 | 4 / 5 |
|
| My title says it. I've been using FCP for years and love it. But this version has a bug in the SmoothCam filter (flawless filter was introduced in version 6) which caused affected clips to appear jittery rather than smooth. And that's no good for anyone. |
| Glad to be back | 2010-01-30 | 5 / 5 |

| I was using Final Cut Pro 5 a few years ago but elected to change to iMovie and iDVD. The iLife suite gave me a lot of what I needed and was simple to use. That all changed during the last iLife upgrade. iMovie's HD support is subpar and the output format options are really limited. On the other hand, Final Cut Pro offers great HD support, I can burn Blu-ray discs, the Compressor now has a powerful upscaling feautures, on and on. There are a lot to learn and relearn because the editing package is very powerful, but I'm glad to be back. |
| Wonderful video editing software | 2009-11-12 | 5 / 5 |
|
| I had been using Final Cut Express and decided that I would try Final Cut Studio (I had a much older version of Final Cut Pro that I was unable to use on my new iMac). This suite contains tremendous tools for video editing. You are basically getting 5 advanced editing software programs in one. The transition from Final Cut Express to Final Cut Pro 7 is very smooth. It is the same interface with expanded capabilities. I am really looking forward to learning more about Motion 4 and DVD Studio Pro 4, both of which are included in this software. I would also recommend getting the Apple Pro Training Series in order to really take advantage of all of the tools in this suite.Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 7 |
