    Very helpful information2009-12-094 / 5
I am currently editing a website that was created with tables, css styles, and other elements of web design that I was unfamiliar with. I have found the information in the "Dummies" book very helpful to me as I work with the website.
    The worst how-to book I've ever read2009-10-191 / 5
I am an experienced digital photographer and do not consider myself technically deficient. So the Dummies guide should be a piece of cake, right? I found it ridiculously overexplained, not breaking things down into simple steps, but just adding new levels of confusion that don't need to be there. In other places things are not explained enough but glossed over in captions or side-notes. Exasperating. The author waits too long to talk about layers, which is the key to versatility and ease in creating a site. Instead she starts with tables, which are so clunky and difficult to manage I was nearly ready to throw my machine through the window. Why put someone not familiar with this stuff, essentially a Dummy, through such frustration and discouragement. A terrible learning manual. It wasn't until a hundred pages later that I discovered--Oh layers, so that's how it's done! Thanks for finally letting me in on it. Poorly organized, not even a good reference source. Can never find anything out through the index. Light on information, thick on on making these things look far more complex than they really are. Thanks for making me feel like a real Dummy. Don't buy this book. I learned more through discussion boards.
Helpful and Terrific as Usual for the Dummies Series2007-09-105 / 5
I am just learning to use Dreamweaver, so I find this book helpful in every way. You can easily skip the things you already know. It is detailed in all areas.

This book helped reaffirm my knowledge from the other book and gave me a few different looks at how to do things.
